We Remember One of Our Own

On October 30, 2024, at the age of 92, Reverend Peter Barrow departed family & friends for his eternal home.

Reverend Barrow served as the minister at both Knox and Limehouse Presbyterian Churches in Georgetown for 32 years.

Peter served as Chaplain for both the Halton Regional Police Service & Halton Hills Fire Department. Peter was a member of the Canadian Police Chaplain Association from 2000 to 2022; he was one of our own.

On behalf of the CPCA Executive & Leadership Team, and all CPCA members, our deep condolences to his family and friends, and to all the First Responders whom Chaplain Peter touched over the years through his acts of love and compassion. To serve First Responders as a chaplain is a calling from God; Peter answered the call and served with a faithful heart. Thank you Peter for your dedication over decades of service to First Responders, and thank you to his family for sacrificing their time with Peter so that he could fulfill God's call on his life.

A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 8, at 1100 hours in Georgetown. For more details, and to view Reverend Peter Barrow's Obituary, please click on this link.

Again, on behalf of the Canadian Police Chaplain Association, our deep sympathies to all those touched throughout their lifetime by Peter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rev. Bruce Ewanyshyn

I'm sharing this comment at the request of Chaplain Warren Vollmer. Warren writes, "Very sad to hear. Peter and I started chaplaincy around the same time. We spent many a training seminar chatting. He was an exemplary Christian and a beautiful human being. Brought back a flood of memories."
