TPS Chaplain Wendell Gibbs receives the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Leadership Award

On January 18, 2025 in Whitby, ON, Toronto PS Chaplain Rev. Wendell Gibbs was the recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Leadership Award. In an article posted on the TPS website, Manny Chahal of the Wellness Unit who also coordinates the TPS volunteer chaplains is quoted, “Chaplain Wendell Gibbs receiving this award is a profound recognition of his unwavering dedication to fostering peace and unity within the community ... In 2024 alone, Wendell’s extraordinary contributions included supporting eight Divisions, attending over 30 events and dedicating 192 hours to serving the TPS community. His chaplaincy visits, prayer walks, and presence at retirements, memorials and community events brought comfort and inspiration to many ... This award recognizes not only his impactful work in combating racism and addressing societal challenges, but also the immeasurable positivity and guidance he brings to those he serves. RCMP "K" Division Chaplaincy Coordinator George Madden receives King Charles 3rd Coronation Medal

On January 23, 2025, RCMP National Chaplain & RCMP "K" Division Chaplaincy Coordinator George Madden was honored for his outstanding service to RCMP employees and his acts of service to the province of Alberta.


Lt .Governor Salma Lahkani presented Chaplain George Madden with the prestigious King Charles 3rd Coronation Medal. George expressed his appreciation for all the RCMP Chaplains for their wonderful service each and every day to the communities and their RCMP employees.


On behalf of the CPCA Leadership Team, I offer heartfelt congratulations to our CPCA Member Chaplain George Madden for his work expanding chaplaincy throughout Alberta and the selfless hours dedicated to RCMP employees and their families.
